Star Property Fair kicks off to a great start

Kuala Lumpur: The Star Property Fair 2009 – ‘Stylish Living’ kicked off today after being officially launched by Housing & Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Kong Cho Ha. Also present were The Star Publications (Malaysia) Berhad Group Managing Director & CEO Datin Linda Ngiam, Executive Director Mr. Ng Beng Lye and Senior Management of The Star.
Right from the start, a steady throng of property enthusiasts and buyers went through Halls 4 & 5 of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, where the Fair is being held until Sunday, November 29th, 2009.
With over 20 big-name Property Developers showcasing their best offerings, sales were reported within the first hours of visitors being let into the halls. By the close of Day 1, many of the Exhibitors confirmed a good day of brisk sales.
Visitors were treated to the Fair’s Talks & Forums with guests speakers including Supermodel Amber Chia who, together with her interior designer Edwin Cassian of Fix Interior, shared her experience in designing her new home. Masters Joey Yap, David Koh and T. Selva, drew huge crowds with their guides and tips on Feng Shui and Outlook for 2010.
Highlights for the weekend include the Mega Auction by CIMB Property Mart, and talks by guest speakers Capt. Azizi Ali, the Best Selling author of “Millionaires Are From Another Planet”; and Mr. Stewart Labrooy, CEO of Axis REIT.
Over the 3 days of the Property Fair, visitors stand to win over RM20,000 worth of Lucky Draw prizes, with Day 1 winners, Lee Kwan Eong , Wong Yim Yok and Lee Yoke Leng, each taking home a brand new Samsung WA13VP Washing Machine.
