Ireka unit wins deal to build condo

IREKA Corp Bhd said its subsidiary has won a RM539 million contract from Amatir Resources Sdn Bhd to build a luxury condominium complex in Kuala Lumpur. Ireka Engineering and Construction Sdn Bhd will build four blocks of 12 and 40 stories (605 units) luxury condominiums, four stories of car parks, recreation and common facilities block. The job is expected to be done by December 31 2010. Amatir Resources Sdn Bhd is wholly-owned by Aseana Properties Ltd, which has common major shareholders with Ireka.
